How to convert GLB to STL online

Turn a .glb model into a downloadable .stl mesh in three steps. Processing stays on this device.

01

Choose a GLB file

Select one or more .glb models up to 100 MB each. You can queue up to 10 files.

02

Convert locally

Select Convert to STL. The browser reads mesh geometry, applies scene transforms, and builds binary STL output.

03

Download the STL

Download files individually or save multiple completed conversions together as a ZIP archive.

GLB to STL conversion settings

The converter applies the model's scene transforms and exports every mesh as one binary STL file.

GLB vs STL for 3D printing

GLB is designed to deliver complete 3D scenes. STL stores surface geometry, which is what most slicers need.

What the converter keeps and removes

STL cannot represent every feature inside a GLB. Check the mesh in your slicer before printing.

All mesh nodes are exported

The converter traverses the GLB scene and writes visible triangle geometry into a single STL file.

Materials are not preserved

Colors, PBR materials, textures, lights, cameras, and animations are omitted because STL has no fields for them.

Scale needs a slicer check

STL is unitless. If the imported model is unexpectedly small or large, set the intended units or scale in your slicer.

Mesh repair may still be needed

Conversion changes the container, not the topology. Non-manifold edges, holes, intersecting shells, and thin walls remain in the output.

GLB to STL converter FAQ

Can you convert GLB to STL?

Yes. Choose a GLB file above, select Convert to STL, and download the binary STL. Conversion happens locally in your browser.

Is this GLB to STL converter free?

Yes. You can convert batches within the displayed file count and size limits without creating an account.

Are my GLB files uploaded?

No. The GLB parser and STL exporter run in your browser, so the source model does not leave your device.

Can I use the STL for 3D printing?

Yes. STL is accepted by common slicers, but inspect the result for scale, watertight geometry, wall thickness, orientation, and printability before printing.

Does converting GLB to STL preserve textures and colors?

No. STL stores triangle geometry and does not preserve GLB textures, colors, materials, lights, cameras, or animations.

Why is the STL the wrong size in my slicer?

STL files are unitless, while GLB uses meters by convention. Choose the intended import units or adjust scale in your slicer.

Does conversion repair a broken mesh?

No. The converter exports existing triangle geometry. Use mesh repair software if the model has holes, non-manifold edges, self-intersections, or other topology problems.

What is the difference between GLB and glTF?

GLB is the binary container form of glTF and can package geometry, materials, textures, and scene data in one file. This tool accepts the .glb binary form.

Is binary STL better than ASCII STL?

Binary and ASCII STL describe the same triangle data. Binary STL is normally much smaller and faster to read, so this converter uses it by default.

Can I batch convert GLB files to STL?

Yes. Add up to 10 GLB files, convert the queue, then download each STL or save completed files as a ZIP.
