PNG to TIFF Converter with Private 300 DPI Batch Output

Convert PNG to TIFF without uploading images. Set 72–600 DPI metadata, preserve transparency or flatten a background, choose lossless Deflate or uncompressed output, and combine many PNG files into one multi-page TIFF.

How to convert PNG to TIFF online

Add PNG images, choose DPI, transparency, compression and batch output, then download one TIFF or a ZIP of separate files.

01

Choose PNG images

Add up to 20 .png files, each up to 25 MB and 60 megapixels. Transparent and opaque images are accepted.

02

Choose TIFF settings

Select 72, 150, 300 or 600 DPI, preserve alpha or flatten a background, and choose Deflate or no compression.

03

Download TIFF output

Combine images as pages in one multi-page TIFF, or create separate TIFF files and download a ZIP for a batch.

High-quality PNG to TIF conversion settings

The converter retains original pixel dimensions while writing print-resolution metadata, lossless compression and optional alpha into standard TIFF tags.

ControlSettingEffect
DPI metadata72, 150, 300 or 600 DPIRecords intended print resolution without inventing or resampling pixels
TransparencyPreserve, white or blackWrites an RGBA TIFF or flattens transparent PNG pixels onto a solid background
CompressionDeflate or uncompressedProvides lossless smaller output or broadly simple raw pixel strips
Batch outputMulti-page TIFF or separate ZIPCombines many photos into one file or keeps one TIFF per PNG

PNG vs TIFF for quality, print and archiving

PNG is a compact lossless web format. TIFF offers flexible compression, DPI metadata and multi-page containers for production workflows.

Private 300 and 600 DPI TIFF encoding

PNG pixels are decoded locally and written as 8-bit RGB or RGBA TIFF pages with resolution tags, strip offsets and optional Deflate Predictor compression.

300 DPI changes metadata, not pixel count

A 3000-pixel-wide PNG remains 3000 pixels wide. At 300 DPI it has a suggested print width of 10 inches; selecting 600 DPI suggests 5 inches.

Many PNG images can become TIFF pages

Choose One multi-page TIFF to keep images in upload order inside a single TIFF image-directory chain.

Transparency uses a standard extra sample

Preserve alpha writes four 8-bit samples per pixel and marks the fourth sample as unassociated transparency.

Browser output is RGB or RGBA

The converter does not create CMYK, Lab, 16-bit, tiled, pyramidal or GeoTIFF output. Those production formats require specialized software.

PNG to TIFF converter FAQ

How do I convert PNG to TIFF?

Choose PNG files above, set DPI, transparency, compression and output mode, then select Convert PNG to TIFF and download the TIFF or ZIP.

Is this PNG to TIFF converter free?

Yes. You can convert up to 20 PNG images per batch within the displayed file and pixel limits without creating an account.

Are my PNG images uploaded?

No. PNG decoding, TIFF compression, multi-page assembly and ZIP creation all happen locally in your browser.

Can I convert PNG to TIF?

Yes. TIF and TIFF are extensions for the same Tagged Image File Format. The converter downloads the longer .tiff extension.

Can I convert PNG to TIFF at 300 DPI?

Yes. Select 300 DPI to write 300-pixel-per-inch resolution tags. This changes intended print size but does not resample the original PNG pixels.

Can I create a 600 DPI TIFF?

Yes. Select 600 DPI to write 600 DPI metadata. It does not improve a low-resolution image or add new detail.

Can I put many PNG photos into one TIFF?

Yes. Add the images in order and choose One multi-page TIFF. Each PNG becomes one TIFF page.

Does TIFF preserve PNG transparency?

Yes when Preserve alpha is selected. Choose white or black if the receiving TIFF software does not handle alpha correctly.

Is Deflate TIFF compression lossless?

Yes. Deflate with horizontal prediction reduces repeated pixel data without changing decoded colors. Uncompressed mode is also lossless but larger.

Does the converter create CMYK TIFF files?

No. Browser canvas pixels are encoded as 8-bit RGB or RGBA. Use prepress software with color-profile control when a printer requires CMYK TIFF.

Does converting PNG to TIFF improve quality?

No new image detail is created. The conversion preserves decoded PNG pixels in a TIFF container and can add DPI metadata or multi-page organization.
