How to convert FBX to GLB online

Create a single binary glTF file from an FBX model in three steps, with conversion performed on this device.

01

Choose FBX files

Select up to 10 binary or ASCII .fbx files, with a maximum size of 100 MB for each model.

02

Choose animation output

Keep Include animations enabled to export supported clips, or disable it for a static GLB model.

03

Download the GLB

Convert locally, then download each GLB or package multiple completed conversions in a ZIP archive.

FBX to GLB conversion settings

Choose whether to include animation clips; supported embedded images are packaged into the resulting GLB.

FBX vs GLB for 3D models

FBX is common in content-creation pipelines, while GLB is optimized for compact delivery across web, mobile, AR and real-time apps.

What the FBX to GLB converter preserves

Most common scene data can transfer, but the formats use different material and animation systems, so review the exported asset.

Geometry and scene hierarchy transfer

Supported meshes, transforms, node names and hierarchy are mapped into glTF scene nodes inside the GLB.

Supported animation clips are optional

Animation tracks loaded from the FBX can be exported into the GLB. Disable the option when you only need a static model.

Embedded textures can stay bundled

Images available inside the FBX are embedded in the GLB when supported. Separate texture files cannot be discovered by a single-file browser upload.

Review materials, axes and scale

FBX applications may interpret units, axes and proprietary shaders differently. Check orientation, scale, skinning and material appearance in the target viewer.

FBX to GLB converter FAQ

How do I convert FBX to GLB?

Choose one or more FBX files above, decide whether to include animations, select Convert to GLB, then download the resulting binary files.

Is this FBX to GLB converter free?

Yes. You can convert files within the displayed batch and size limits without payment or account registration.

Are my FBX models uploaded?

No. The FBX loader and GLB exporter run locally in your browser, so the source model does not leave your device.

Does FBX to GLB preserve textures?

Supported images embedded in the FBX can be included in the GLB. External texture files stored beside the FBX are not available to this single-file converter.

Does FBX to GLB preserve animations?

Supported animation clips are exported when Include animations is enabled. Always check playback because FBX applications can encode tracks differently.

Are bones, rigs and skin weights preserved?

The converter supports common FBX skeletons and skinned meshes through the Three.js FBX loader and glTF exporter. Complex rigs should be tested in the target engine.

Why do FBX materials look different in GLB?

FBX supports application-specific shading properties, while glTF uses a standardized PBR model. Some shader settings may need adjustment after conversion.

Why is the GLB rotated or scaled differently?

FBX files can contain axis and unit metadata interpreted differently by software. Review orientation and scale in your GLB viewer or target engine.

Can I batch convert FBX files to GLB?

Yes. Add up to 10 FBX files, convert the queue, then download each GLB separately or save completed files in a ZIP.

Can I convert FBX to GLB on Mac or Windows?

Yes. Conversion works in a modern browser on macOS, Windows and Linux without installing Blender or another desktop converter.
