SBI Bank Statement Password
SBI uses a different statement password for each channel: a statement you request by SMS opens with the 4-digit code you chose, while OnlineSBI, YONO and emailed statements are commonly reported to use your account number or your birth date combined with your mobile number.
Formats checked on 2 November 2026. Examples use a made-up customer: Priya Sharma, born 15 August 1990, mobile 98765 43210, credit card ending 4321. “Confirmed by the bank” means the bank states the format itself; “commonly reported” formats come from account holders and are not published by the bank, so the note in your statement email takes precedence.
| Statement | Password format | Example | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email statement requested by SMS (ESTMT) | The 4-digit code you put in the SMS | 4821 | Confirmed by the bank |
| Statement downloaded from OnlineSBI | 11-digit account number | 12345678901 | Commonly reported |
| YONO statement sent to your email | Birth day and month (DDMM) + @ + last 4 digits of your mobile | 1508@3210 | Commonly reported |
| Monthly e-statement by email | Last 5 digits of your mobile + date of birth (DDMMYY) | 43210150890 | Commonly reported |
| Statement downloaded in YONO | Date of birth (DDMMYYYY) | 15081990 | Commonly reported |
SBI credit card statement password
SBI credit cards are issued by SBI Card, a separate company, so their statements follow their own rule.
| Statement | Password format | Example | Source |

How to open a SBI statement PDF
- Step 1
Check how you got the statement
Note whether the SBI statement came from net banking, the mobile app or email, then find that row in the table.
- Step 2
Type the password
Open the PDF and enter the 4-digit code you put in the SMS, for example 4821. Keep the letter case.
- Step 3
Let the finder try the rest
If it does not open, enter your details in the password finder; it tries every SBI format in your browser.
How to download a SBI statement
- OnlineSBI: log in, open My Accounts & Profile, choose Account Statement, select the account and period, and download the PDF.
- YONO: open the account, choose the statement option, pick the period, and download it or have it emailed.
- SMS: send ESTMT, your account number and a 4-digit code of your choice to 09223588888 from your registered mobile. The statement arrives by email and opens with that code.
If the SBI password does not work
- First work out where the PDF came from: the subject of the email, the YONO screen or the OnlineSBI download tells you which row of the table applies.
- Only the SMS route is described by SBI itself. The other formats are widely reported by SBI customers; if one fails, try the next or use the password finder.
- Enter the account number without spaces. Some customers report it works without leading zeros.
Frequently asked questions
What is the SBI statement password?
It depends on how you got the statement. An SMS-requested statement opens with the 4-digit code you chose. Statements from OnlineSBI are commonly reported to open with your 11-digit account number, and YONO emailed statements with your birth day and month, @ and the last four digits of your mobile, for example 1508@3210.
What is the 4-digit code for an SBI email statement?
It is the code you typed yourself when you sent ESTMT, your account number and the code to 09223588888. SBI uses it to protect the PDF. If you have forgotten it, request the statement again with a new code.
What is the SBI credit card statement password?
SBI credit card statements come from SBI Card. Cardholders most often report the date of birth as DDMMYYYY followed by the last four digits of the card, for example 150819904321.
Why does my SBI statement password not work?
Usually because the PDF came through a different channel than the format you tried. Check whether it is an SMS, OnlineSBI, YONO or monthly email statement, then try that row of the table, or let the password finder try all of them.
